ROCKETRY
In 2022 and 2023, I dove deep into the amateur High Power Rocketry community. Building and flying my first two high powered rockets, delving into mission critical electronics in high stress environments.

Zephyr
2022
My first rocket, built from a kit with some standard electronics programmed for the specific flight path of the rocket
Zephyr
2022
The rocket flies flawlessly, landing in excellent condition and flying twice more during this event
Rocket Diagram 1a
2023
For my second rocket, I was deadset on making a fully (or maximally at least) transparent rocket
Rocket Diagram 1a (Electronics)
2023
This rocket used a custom "eggtimer" system that measured the acceleration of the rocket to detect the apex of the rocket's arc and start a timer to trigger the ejection charge ~11 seconds later for optimal deceleration vs horizontal distance traveled
Rocket Diagram 1a
2023
Chemically bonding the two halves of the rocket together caused a large glassy stain in the polycarbonate
Rocket Diagram 1a
2023
Unfortunately, the rocket failed 1/4 into it's ascent as the "fin flutter" caused by the thickness and blunt edge of the rocket's fins reached a harmonic that tore the rocket apart. Of course, failures, even the explosive kinds, are all a part of learning and improving for the next design

SOCIETY
While delving into this hobby, I became heavily involved in the Hot Nozzle Society, the premier amateur rocketry outreach organization that was hosting these events.
With my enthusiasm and experience managing supply and logistics from MORE, I became the Operations Director of HNS in that second year. Managing the fully logistics, business planning and event directing for the 2023 event.
